Forest Preserves of the Northern Suburbs
Today, I got dressed in one of my favorite dresses and decided to take photos at the Captain Daniel Wright Woods, forest preserve in Mettawa, Illinois. I truly like the forest preserves of Northern Illinois because of how open and beautiful they are! It’s silent and natural. I was feeling this way today, and so decided to become one, with nature. You know?
Today, my walk was so silent but loud. The loudness was the sound of nature.
Last night, I spent an amazing evening in the busy Chicago, Illinois, with beautiful friends. Naturally, I would get some silence in nature today to add balance to my life. Hear about my evening last night by clicking the button below and listening to podcast episode 3! Enjoy!
Today, my walk was so silent but loud. The loudness was the sound of nature. Birds were singing. Leaves were rustling. You could see chipmunks moving quickly and causing a fuss in the grass!
I like being home. This is how I feel when I am outside! The weather today was PERFECT!
When I left, I decided that my day would be more enriched if I got to see Lake Michigan too! I headed to Fort Sheridan, in Fort Sheridan, Illinois. I sat and watched the waves move back and forth and took it all in!
This was simply what I needed for my Soul today!
I hope this summer weather continues as it has the past few days! It’s good for my Soul!
Thanks for reading,
